Path to a Cure: Dallas 5K

Join us in Dallas, Texas this September for our Path to a Cure: Mission MSA 5K! On Sunday, October 19th, we are hosting an in-person fundraiser to bring our community together for a half day of spreading awareness and creating connections while raising contributions for those affected by multiple system atrophy.

More than Parkinsonism Symposium

Saturday, September 27 at 9:30AM – 4:00PM CST

This free full-day event is dedicated to individuals and families affected by atypical parkinsonisms, including Dementia with Lewy Bodies, Lewy Body Dementia (including Parkinson’s Disease Dementia), Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, Multiple System Atrophy, and Corticobasal Syndrome.

 

Experts from Mission MSA’s Center of Excellence, along with colleagues in Psychiatry, Gastroenterology, Neuropalliative Care, Nutrition, and other specialties, will provide education and resources to empower attendees. A resource fair will also be available, featuring representatives from foundations, community services, and industry partners.

 

Highlights include:

  • Atypical Parkinsonism 101 presented by Dr. Jori Fleisher, CoC Director for CurePSP

  • MSA Track Presentation by Dr. Katie Kompoliti, Director of the Mission MSA Center of Excellence

1a Jornada Anual d’AMS (1st Annual MSA Meeting)

Friday, October 3 at 10:30AM – 2:00PM CST

The first annual MSA meeting at our center builds on the success of the previous PSP meetings held in May 2024 and May 2025. This full-day event in Barcelona (exact location TBD) is designed for people living with MSA, their families, and caregivers, with a focus on education, research updates, and community engagement.

 

The program will open with remarks from hospital and government representatives, followed by:

  • Session 1: Registries, biomarkers, and clinical trials

  • Session 2: Therapeutic education programs and allied health professional perspectives

  • Finale: Open debate between speakers and the audience

 

MSA experts and guest speakers include Dr. Marti, Dr. Batlle, Dr. Perez-Soriano, Dr. de Mena, Dr. Compta, and Ms. Ana Camara, Emma Ludeña, and Susana Villote. The day will conclude with institutional remarks and a catered reception. A video welcome message from Ms. Jessie Iregui is planned.

 

The event aims to share the latest scientific insights, highlight non-pharmacological care strategies, and create a space for dialogue between experts and the MSA community. Registration required via email.
