What is the Mission MSA/ElevenLabs partnership? How does it work?
ElevenLabs has partnered with Mission MSA to offer complimentary “Pro” subscriptions to individuals diagnosed with MSA, enabling them to create Professionally Cloned Voices (PCV). Professional Voice Cloning technology lets you create a very realistic model of your voice. You can use this voice to convert text into speech. Through this partnership, Mission MSA facilitates the distribution of these licenses.

1. Apply for Free Subscription
2. Get Your Code
- Mission MSA will email your code within 7 business days (check spam/junk folder).
3. Set Up Your Account
- Go to the ElevenLabs website, create an account, and use the code Mission MSA emailed you to activate your free Pro subscription.
4. Create Your Voice
- Start making your Professional Voice Clone. Click the link (Step-by-step Guide – ElevenLabs) to access ElevenLabs’ FAQ for step-by-step instructions
5. Use Your Voice
- Once fine-tuned (may take a few hours), use it online or through the ElevenLabs app. When will my professional voice clone (PVC) be ready? – ElevenLabs
That’s it! You’ll have a personalized voice ready to use.
1. Sign Up or Log In
- Go to the ElevenLabs sign-up page. If you already have a free account, log in to upgrade to “Pro.”
2. Upgrade to Pro
- Select the “Pro” plan and enter your discount code at checkout.
- Make sure the code applies, and the total shows $0.
3. Enter Payment Info
- You will need to enter a credit card for character limit overages. Go to Account Name (bottom left of the website), select Subscription in the menu, and turn off the “Enable usage-based billing” slider under Subscription Details to avoid credit card charges for character limit overage.
4. Start Cloning
- Once your account is set up, watch this video guide (Professional Voice Cloning – ElevenLabs) to create your Professional Voice Clone (PVC).
That’s it, your account is ready!
After you upload your audio, your voice clone won’t be ready right away. It needs some time to be fine-tuned. You’ll get an email when it’s ready to use.
Yes! You can use old audio files if you can’t record new ones. Try these:
- Old Voice Messages: Check messages on family or friends’ phones.
- Deleted Voicemails: Ask family and friends to check their “deleted voicemail” folder.
If your voice has changed a lot, you’ll need Manual Verification through ElevenLabs.

If your natural voice is strong, you can easily record using these tools:
- Audacity (recommended with a USB microphone): Download Audacity
- AVR-X App (available for iPhone and Android):
Yes, but you’ll need to extract the audio first. Here an option:
Audacity Software: (available for iPhone and Android):
- Add your video file to Audacity.
- Export the audio to your computer.
If you fail all five verification attempts, contact ElevenLabs support.
Manual Verification Process:
- Submit a support ticket for manual verification.
- You will get an email from ElevenLabs Support to log in and finish verification.
- Upload these documents:
- Photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport)
- Completed ElevenLabs Manual Verification Form
- Doctor’s note confirming your MSA diagnosis
- You can create a voice clone in many languages.
- Translate: Clone your voice in one language and type/translate it into another supported language.
- Full list: Check the supported languages on ElevenLabs.
- Monthly Limit: 500,000 characters per month.
- Rollovers: Unused characters can roll over to the next month (up to 2x your monthly limit).
- Exceeding Limit: If you go over, your credit card will be charged.
- Go to Account Name (bottom left of the website).
- Select Subscription in the menu.
- Turn OFF the slider for “Enable usage-based billing” under Subscription Details.
You can use your ElevenLabs voice in these ways:
- On the Website: Log in to the ElevenLabs website using a web browser.
- Using the Reader App:
- Read texts or websites out loud.
- Create and save your own text (note: saved texts can’t be sorted).
